The METRICH Enforcement Unit/Special Investigations Section (SIS) through long and short-term investigative strategies, investigates crimes involving drug trafficking, drug abuse, weapons, gang activity, and vice-related crimes as well as other sensitive investigations. Acting as a fusion center for Richland County, the unit maintains a substantial intelligence database as well as a large inventory of specialized technical equipment.
