The state of Ohio has promised crime victims and in some cases, their families, certain rights in connection with our justice system. The Attorney General for the state of Ohio, stands with crime victims to protect their dignity and to ensure that they are empowered to act on these rights. Providing these programs is the least that society can do to help redress the wrong and injury victims have suffered.

VINE is a free, anonymous information and notification system that provides the public with vital custody status and release information for offenders housed in all of Ohio’s 88 county jails, the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections (ODRC) and the Ohio Department of Youth Services (DYS). The service is made possible through a coordinated effort by the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, the Buckeye State Sheriff’s Association, ODRC, and DYS.
